What We Do

Turn Unclear Evidence Into Case-Winning Exhibits

The technical evidence is only as strong as the expert who explains it. A timid expert, an expert who is out maneuvered by deceptive and hostile cross examination, an expert whose credentials don’t match the complexity of the case — and everything you built falls apart. You need an expert that knows his work like the back of his hand and who can communicate clearly, simply, and with confidence.

Stipulated Reports or Live Testimony

Opposing counsel often stipulates (or agrees) to our reports and exhibits — saving you the time and cost of live court appearances. When they challenge, we’re prepared to testify at hearings, depositions, and trial.

Foundation Laying & Jury Education

Our experts lay the foundation for the evidence and explain the details to a jury in plain language — describing the technology used, the order and timing of events, the methodology, and the conclusions.

Court-Approved Panel Credentials

LA County Superior Court Panel of Expert Witnesses. LA Public Defender’s approved expert list. California Bar MCLE provider. State and Federal Courts across the country. Credentials that courts already recognize.

Testimony Across All Disciplines

Video forensics (frame rates, resolution, compression, metadata, synchronization, timing analysis). Audio forensics (clarification and authentication). Digital file recovery and DVR analysis. 3D reconstruction and modeling. Cellphone forensics. Full spectrum of our work, supported with hardware and software demonstrations in court.

Emmy Award-Winning Credibility

Founder David Notowitz is an Emmy award-winning producer with 25+ years in audio/video production and forensics. National media appearances on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC — credentials that impress juries.

Clear, Confident Communication

Communicating clearly, simply, and with confidence. Post-verdict jury interviews consistently credit our testimony as crucial to their understanding and trusting of the facts.

Your Questions, Answered

Common Questions From Attorneys

Are your experts admitted in federal court?

Yes. Our experts have been admitted and testified in state and federal courts across the US. Never been excluded. Request our list of past cases and testimony.

Can the report be stipulated without live testimony?

Often yes — and most of our cases resolve that way. Out of over 200 matters per year, we usually testify 10 to 20 times. If opposing counsel stipulates, we save you the time and cost of live testimony. If they challenge, we appear. Government agencies have stipulated to our work, allowing it into evidence without cross-examination.

What areas can your experts testify on?

Video forensics and enhancement, audio forensics and authentication, speaker identification, 3D crime scene reconstruction and incident modeling, cellphone and digital forensics, image authentication, deepfake detection, surveillance system analysis, and firearms identification from video/audio.

How far in advance do you need to be retained?

The earlier the better — we want time to do the best job possible! We will take engagements on short notice, even though it’s not ideal. Free consultation tells you whether the timeline works for your case.

What does expert witness testimony cost?

Varies by engagement scope: pre-testimony analysis and report, deposition, trial testimony, and travel all have separate components. The initial evaluation of your evidence will give us a handle on the scope. This is how we understand the best path for working on your case.
