Attorneys are amazing at analyzing transcripts, researching law, speaking to judge and jury, organizing strategies for cross, but usually uncomfortable with technology such as video and audio evidence. That’s where we come in. When digital evidence requires full evaluation and understanding.
Professional-grade enhancement of low-resolution, compressed, or motion-blurred surveillance footage. Frame-by-frame analysis, multi-frame synthesis, glare minimization, and brightness adjustment.
Video equipment identification, camera and lens research, file resolution and frame rate analysis, camera angle and distance assessment, lighting condition research.
Detect editing, splicing, or alterations. Authenticate that footage is continuous and unmodified — or prove that opposing evidence has been tampered with.
Frame-level object tracking, suspect highlighting, shadow and reflection analysis, speed measurement, and multi-angle synchronization to reconstruct events.
Detailed forensic reports documenting every enhancement step, methodology, and chain of custody — prepared for court admission and opposing-expert scrutiny.
Court-approved experts on the LA Superior Court Panel of Expert Witnesses and approved in federal and state courts across the country. Available for depositions, hearings, and trial — explaining technical processes in plain language.
In the Ivory Webb case, NCAVF’s video analysis helped the jury see the evidence more clearly than the work done by the FBI. Our forensic video work has contributed to the $21.5M Duda verdict and supported not-guilty verdicts including Kelly Thomas (6-hour jury deliberation). Over 200 cases handled each year — criminal defense, prosecution, plaintiffs, and insurance defense.
Will the enhanced video be admissible in court?
Yes. Every enhancement is documented with a report and chain of custody. We’ve supported evidence admission in thousands of cases. Our experts are on the LA County Superior Court Panel of Expert Witnesses and accepted in state and federal courts across the country — government stipulation to our work has commonly resulted in evidence coming into the record without need for our testimony.
How long does forensic video enhancement take?
Standard turnaround is dependent on the nature of the job, but 10-15 business days is not unusual. Trial-deadline rush work can be accommodated for a rush service. Let’s discuss your court date during the conversation with our case manager.
What video formats and sources do you work with?
Any format, any source. Proprietary DVR formats, mobile phone video, bodycams, dashcams, VHS tape, GPS devices, consumer security cameras (Ring, Nest), CCTV, even recovered digital files. If it contains video or audio, we can analyze it.
What does it cost?
Pricing is case-specific based on footage length, complexity, and whether a report is requested. The initial conversation with our case manager is free — he will answer your initial questions, advise you about your timeline and goals, setup your account (if you want to proceed) and give you a link for uploading your evidence.
What if the video can’t be enhanced enough to be useful?
We can discuss this further with our case manager. Every case is different. Sometimes the initial evaluation is for the purposes of determining what is possible and what is not possible. Sometimes the initial evaluation reveals an exciting direction of further inquiry. Many lives have been given a new direction due to our careful analysis and evidence clarification.
To give every case the attention it deserves — evidence review, clarification, expert analysis, court-ready exhibits, and testimony prep — we cap new engagements.
If your trial date is approaching, don’t wait. Most forensic video and audio work requires a month or more lead time to finalize for court-ready reports and expert testimony prep.
